Official Launch of the 1st Video Game Incubator Center in Brussels!

Article Summary

Since last January, games.brussels, the new professional association for video game creators in Brussels,  is headquarted in the Dansaert business center. The city of Brussels has succeeded in reaching its goal of attracting at least 5 studios and about 20 workers on the premises.

The video game sector is doing well in Belgium – with a turnover of 88 million euros in 2021 and 110 companies, including ten in Brussels, an increase of 70% between 2021 and 2022.

To fulfill a lack of local video game editors on the market, Brussels aims attracting newcomers in that vertical thanks to its favorable business climate and ecosystem. The recent federal Belgian tax shelter extension to the video games industry will make finding money for developers much easier.  In addition, the new games.brussels’ workspace enables gaming companies to save money by offering a room at rates 3 to 4 times lower than other coworking spaces. says Sébastien Le Touze the co-founder of games.brussels

This game.brussels sector-focused workspace will offer much more than a business center thanks to a diverse program of curated events, sector specialized entrepreneurship training and numerous networking opportunities.  In short, it is an ideal location for the emergence and growth of new video game start-ups!
