Since its inception in 2016, the lifetech.brussels cluster acceleration program, called MedTech Accelerator®, accompanied over 59 startup projects specializing in medical devices and eHealth innovations.
The MedTech Accelerator® helps in many crucial topics such as product-market fit, data management, prototyping, fundraising, pitching, and also compliance with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR), a key aspect to consider in this sector. This project supervision clearly speeds up their progress to MDR certification.
In 2021, Momly and Tulipal, both specializing in women’s health, got an award for the quality, eco-friendly character, and high market potential of their new products.
The 2022 edition of the MedTech Accelerator program just ended with 2 winners, the first one -Gratiago – developed an app to improve compliance with treatments, and the second – Pulso – has developed a high-quality in vitro testing service for medical devices in the field of cardiovascular diseases. The program consisted of 15 days of training, visits, and meetings spread over 5 months.
