We are the foreign trade and investment department of, which aims to promote the internationalization of the Brussels economy. It is part of, the economic development agency of the Brussels Capital Region. invest & export assists foreign investors seeking to set up shop in Brussels. Its mission is to provide the assistance needed by foreign investors to speed up procedures and connect them to the right people at all the relevant government departments, regional institutions, associations and professional organisations in Brussels that can make their project both successful and profitable.

To enable investors to assess the benefits of establishing in the capital, we offer them a ‘Welcome Package’ which includes an equipped office space at no cost for a three-month period and a broad range of services.

Another mission of invest & export is to assist Brussels-based companies operating in foreign markets. Almost ninety economic and trade commissioners across all continents provide free guidance to SMEs, target potential local prospects and partners, organise matchmaking events, etc. Concrete initiatives in Brussels and abroad include trade missions, contact days, invitations of decision makers and collective stands at international trade fairs.

Brussels' ECC: the SPOC for businesses

Brussels has a unique, business-friendly tool designed to help businesses settle in the capital of Europe: the Economic Coordination Council.

The ECC is supervised by Brussels' Minister of Economy, provides concrete solutions to businesses and centralises the local economic institutions to act as a single point of contact. The ECC's daily operations and secretariat are managed by
