This November, Belgium will host the 2019 Circular Economy Hotspot. This international event highlights the growing demand for a move towards a more environmentally-friendly economic future.
Activities will be held both in the capital and countrywide, exhibiting the latest developments on sustainability in Belgium, and showcasing Brussels’ growing reputation as a pioneer in the field of circular economy.
On Monday 18th November, the Hotspot will kick off at 5pm at Brussels City Hall, with a talk by sustainability expert and guest speaker Toon Wassenberg, followed by a networking-friendly buffet dinner.
On Tuesday, Brussels will hold a full-day city tour on the theme of “Circular Cities”, including visits to a repurposed warehouse, a recycling plant and an environmental incubator.
On Wednesday there will be the chance to attend a plenary session at the Brussels Expo in Heysel, featuring high level speakers from the Belgian and European political fields as well as industry experts in energy efficiency and sustainability.
Afterwards, all participants will have free access to the Global Sustainable Technology and Innovation Conference taking place from 20-22 November.
