Brussels has been attracting attention for all the right reasons recently, as Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio last week congratulated the city on its decision to go fossil-fuel free from 2030 onwards.
The actor shared a Greenpeace post on Instagram, commending Brussels for tackling its carbon footprint.
DiCaprio is well-known for his environmental advocacy and recently voiced his support for climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Brussels plans to scrap diesel cars from 2030, with petrol cars to be phased out by 2035 in a bid to cut carbon emissions. As part of an ambitious climate plan unveiled at the end of last month, the capital also plans to improve public transport links to create a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly city for future generations.
